ALCIM was proud and extremely delighted when ALCIM’s “Dream Team” was chosen out of many other MSC status company teams to participate in the MSC Malaysia MIM Management Game 2009 (M3G) organized by MSC Malaysia through the Capability Development Programme (CDP). MSC Malaysia held the event at the prestigious Putrajaya International Convention Centre over a period of 2 days on the 15th and 16th of April 2009. The main aim of the computer-simulated business game was to challenge the participants to make real-world management and business decisions and to cultivate the high-level skills needed by Malaysian companies to survive and succeed in an increasingly competitive global arena. Dato’ Badlisham Ghazali, the Chief Executive Officer of MDeC, stated that the MSC Malaysia MIM Management Game 2009 (M3G) was sponsored by MSC Malaysia and by Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM). He also said that the participants in M3G would pit their management and business skills against other teams in the areas of finance, production, investment and pricing, and thus experience making tough policy and strategic decisions that are a part of running an efficient modern business, in particular during an economic downturn. The participants competed for RM6,000 worth of prizes and the top 3 teams, based on the accumulated market share and profits, will be fully sponsored to compete in the next MIM-RICOH National Management Game, as well as the Regional Management Game organized by the Asian Association of Management Organizations (AAMO). After the tough and challenging 2 days, ALCIM emerged as the 2nd runner-up ln the MSC Malaysia MIM Management Game 2009. ALCIM is now looking forward to compete in the next round of the MIM-RICOH National Management Game.
